Science programs, incursions and excursions - involvement includes:

  • Space camp (in Florida and Alabama, USA)
  • Marine studies excursion to the great Barrier Reef (Lady Elliot Island)
  • A case of conspiracy - forensics incursion for Year 9
  • Reptiles alive - interactive reptiles incursion for Year 7

  • ANSTO program for gifted science students
  • Local ecosystem field study
  • Boat harbour marine reserve

Extra curricular activities for english include: 

  • Debating in state-wide competitions in Years 7 - 10
  • Public speaking in state-wide competitions in Years 9, 10 & 11
  • School-based writing competition in Year 7
  • Entries into a variety of writing competitions

Computer Studies

Computer studies students may choose to participate in an annual international computer skills competition run by the University of New South Wales (UNSW) as well as holiday workshops run by various universities and the connected learning awards which give students opportunities to design and create digital works for real-life purposes.
